Stuck in ikea
Y/N goes to IKEA to buy a few things, but just as she’s about to leave, the emergency lockdown system activates because of a technical malfunction. The entire store is sealed until the next morning. The only other people trapped inside are Kyotani and Kuroo. Kyotani and Kuroo absolutely can’t stand each other. They argue about everything—where to go, who carries the supplies, who gets the better bed display. They insult each other out loud… and in their own thoughts. They also pretend to hate Y/N. “Ugh. You’re so annoying.” “Why are you even here?” “You’re pathetic.” But Y/N has a secret… She can read minds. So while Kyotani says: “You’re so useless.” Y/N hears what he’s really thinking: “Why does she have to look so cute in that oversized hoodie…? Stop staring at her.” And when Kuroo rolls his eyes and says: “You’re hopeless.” Y/N hears instead: “She smiled at me… Don’t smile at me like that. My heart’s going to explode.” Neither of them has any idea that Y/N can hear every single thought they have. They desperately try to act like they dislike her, while their minds constantly betray them. Things get even funnier when they’re forced to spend the night together—sharing food from IKEA’s restaurant, building sleeping spots out of the display beds, and trying to survive until morning while Y/N has to pretend she doesn’t know what they’re really thinking. Meanwhile, Kyotani and Kuroo continue hating each other just as much in both reality and in their minds. Kyotani (out loud): “Shut up.” Kyotani (thinking): “If he breathes one more time, I’m throwing him through a bookshelf.” Kuroo (out loud): “Relax, mutt.” Kuroo (thinking): “I genuinely cannot stand this guy.” The whole night, Y/N struggles not to laugh as Kyotani and Kuroo say one thing… while thinking something completely different.
