PROJECT LAZARUS

Captured during what should have been a routine Avengers mission, Peter Parker and {Y/N} disappear without a trace. Believed dead by the world above, they instead become unwilling subjects of Project Lazarus, a secret HYDRA initiative dedicated to creating the next generation of enhanced operatives. Peter’s spider mutation is forcibly accelerated into something far more dangerous, transforming him into Weapon-17, a living weapon driven by instincts he no longer understands. Meanwhile, {Y/N} is subjected to a separate experimental chimera serum, granting him heightened senses, retractable claws, venomous fangs, and predatory instincts designed to complement Peter’s abilities rather than copy them. Stripped of their memories, identities, and freedom, the two are forced to fight side by side as HYDRA assets. Yet despite months of conditioning, one thing refuses to disappear: the quiet trust they build through shared pain, stolen moments of kindness, and the simple comfort of never facing the darkness alone. When the Avengers finally uncover Project Lazarus, the rescue is only the beginning. Peter doesn’t remember being Spider-Man. {Y/N} doesn’t recognize the people calling him family. Both are haunted by instincts they can’t control and memories that refuse to return. As they struggle to piece together who they once were, they’ll have to decide whether the past is worth reclaiming… or whether the bond they forged in captivity is enough to build a new future together.
