The Deathless Bride ~ Hyunjin
There’s an old legend in your kingdom that says if a living bride speaks her wedding vows beneath the dead trees, the dead will come to claim her. You never believed it. Until the night you’re forced to marry someone you don’t love. Desperate to get away, you run into the forbidden forest and start practicing your wedding vows beneath an old tree. You’re only pretending, imagining what it would be like to marry someone you actually chose. Then you notice a skeletal hand sticking out of the ground. And, without really thinking, or maybe out of spite, you slip your ring onto its finger. That’s when the ground starts to move. A man rises from beneath the earth. Hyunjin. The forgotten prince of the dead. And somehow, by saying those vows and placing that ring on his hand, you’ve just made yourself his bride. But there’s something about Hyunjin that feels strangely familiar. Because years ago, on the night he was supposed to be married, he was murdered. And his bride was the one who did it. Or at least… that’s what everyone remembers. As pieces of your past begin coming back, you start to realize that you and Hyunjin have met before. You were his bride. You were there the night he died. And you were never the one who betrayed him. Someone cursed you both to be reborn over and over again, erasing your memories every time, until the two of you could finally finish the wedding that was never meant to end. But this time, something is different. Because whoever cursed you both knows you’ve found each other again. And they’re not going to let you finish what you started.
