Nursing school is already trying to kill you. Between early-morning clinicals, skills check-offs, care plans, and trying to remember approximately a thousand things at once, the last thing you need is more stress. Thankfully, your boyfriend, Briar University hockey star Garrett Graham, is more than willing to let you use him as your designated practice patient. Unfortunately, Garrett has decided that if he’s going to play the patient, he’s going to give you the full experience. Every blood pressure cuff is a threat to his life. Every assessment reveals a new imaginary disease. Every mildly concerned look on your face means he has hours left to live. And according to Garrett, he isn’t being annoying—he’s just helping prepare his favorite student nurse for the real world. Somehow, between fake medical emergencies, hockey, clinicals, and Garrett asking if his pulse means he’s dying for the seventeenth time, you still have to graduate.
