Chuuya and Dazai had been walking for a while now, shoulders bumping every few steps, the kind of quiet that settles between two people who've been together long enough that silence isn't awkward. It's comfortable.

They'd wandered off the main streets without really meaning to. The noise of traffic faded behind them, replaced by the rustle of leaves and the distant sound of a train clattering over tracks.

Chuuya glanced over at him. Dazai was looking straight ahead, not at him, which was also weird. Dazai always looked at Chuuya when he was being annoying. That was, like, half the point.
