You and your thirteen friends have done plenty of stupid things at Hogwarts. Sneaking out after curfew? Normal. Detentions? Frequent. Making decisions questionable enough that Lord Voldemort could potentially become your new best friend? Unfortunately, also normal. Finding a random eight-year-old in a dark corridor at 12:17 a.m.? While being high and drunk Now that one? That one’s new. His name is Sebastian Yaxley. He doesn’t know how he got into Hogwarts, where his family is, or why the last thing he remembers is waking up alone in the castle. Obviously, the professors should handle this. They’re adults. They’re responsible. They’re actually qualified to look after a child. There’s just one tiny problem. Sebastian doesn’t give a shit. From the moment you fourteen find him, he decides you’re his people. He follows you, listens to you, steals your phones, waits outside your classes, joins your terrible ideas, and repeatedly escapes perfectly competent adult supervision to return to fourteen sixteen-year-olds who can barely take care of themselves. Headmaster Snape is thrilled. Especially when Sebastian refuses to listen to him but listens to his daughter without hesitation. And while everyone tries to figure out where Sebastian came from, something stranger goes completely unnoticed. The expressions. The habits. The mannerisms. The personality. Little pieces of all fourteen of you showing up in a child who shouldn’t know any of you well enough to have learned them. But that’s probably nothing. Right?
