@MariaLittleLambThe faculty meeting room at U.A. High was bathed in the muted afternoon light filtering through the tall windows. The long mahogany table sat centered, its surface polished to a gleam, surrounded by high-backed chairs that would soon hold the school's most trusted educators. A stack of neatly bound syllabi sat at the head of the table, beside a pitcher of water and a single, slightly wilted flower in a vase—an odd, cheerful touch.
