Kimberly Fuentes is from a small little Town in New mexico, called Mountainair. After she finishes high school she moves to the small city of Albuquerque to attend college at UNM. She visits her family ranch on weekends when its possible. At UNM she meets Kourtney Bonney, they become best friends fast especially after Kim is always defending her from bullies in there freshman classes. Kourtney Bonney lives on her family ranch in the outskirts of the city. Her family are respected and prominent in the community. It's through Kourtney, that Kim meets her older brother WIlliam Bonney, or Billy as everyone calls him. Billy is attending UNM too but he's a Junior, he helps his father run the ranch too. His best friend Jesse Evens is a junior at unm too and works with Billy at the ranch. When Billy and Kim meet, kim develops a crush on him immediately, but Billy is still dealing with a messy break up with his ex Amber Walker, who lives close by and also attends UNM. He broke up with her because he found out she was cheating on him, but she's persistent and wants him back at all costs. Kourtney hates Amber for the pain she caused her brother and is very protective of him. When BIlly meets kim and sees what a sweet, kind person she is and what an amazing friend she is to his little sister, he's taken by her and he develops a deep need to watch out for her as he does for Kourtney especially at UNM with all the dumb collage boys trying to make passes at them. As he gets to know and spend more time with Kim He finally gets over Amber and he falls for Kim. Both falling in love.
