Nymphadora’s friends—Hermione Granger, Harry Potter, Ron, and Ginny Weasley—affectionately call her by either of her middle names, Alba or Renée, as nicknames. People who aren’t her friends and don’t know her middle names are often confused about why her friends call her Alba or Renée, until they learn that those are her middle names. All of the professors—even the stern ones—adore her, affectionately calling her Nina, a sweet nickname derived from Nymphadora. Those who don’t know her gave her the nickname “The Swan of Hogwarts”.
