Y/N is a young woman in Middle Tennessee juggling cosmetology school, salon assisting, multiple jobs, church, friendships, family, and the uncertainty of what comes next. As she works toward becoming a hairstylist and dreams about building a life of her own, she finds herself growing closer to Chase Boylan, a teasing, goofy, confident welding student who works at Home Depot and shares her faith. What begins as playful conversations and an unexpected friendship slowly develops into something neither of them quite knows how to name, while Y/N simultaneously wrestles with the possibility of leaving Tennessee, finding her calling, and figuring out what she truly wants from adulthood. As their relationship deepens, Y/N and Chase must learn that love isn’t about having every answer or giving up the dreams God placed in them—it’s about discovering whether two people can grow individually while still choosing to walk toward the same future.
