You accidentally discover messages from before you and Theo became official. His friends were joking about you being the girl he’d eventually settle down with while he continued seeing somebody else. Theo insists those messages don’t reflect how he feels now. Unfortunately, one sentence from him is particularly brutal and you can’t unread it.
