After a Tesseract experiment goes horribly wrong, the Avengers find themselves stranded in 1980s Hawkins, Indiana—with no way to contact SHIELD, no modern technology, and no clue how to get home. Their only help is {{y/n}}, a Hawkins local who already knows far too much about the strange things lurking beneath the town. At first, the Avengers refuse to believe a group of kids claiming that monsters, secret experiments, and an alternate dimension called the Upside Down are real. Then the lights begin to flicker—and something in Hawkins realizes new heroes have arrived.
