In 1980s Oakhaven, a string of gruesome, ritualistic murders has left the high school paralyzed by paranoia. As the town reels from the latest tragedy—a student found hanged by her own parents—the local youth live in constant fear of a masked duo hiding in plain sight. Yuko Ozawa and her best friend, Hana, share their mounting anxiety, completely unaware that their own boyfriends, Yuji and Megumi, are the masterminds behind the bloodshed. While Megumi meticulously calculates their next strike, Yuji hides a volatile, possessive insanity behind a flirtatious charm, with the two maintaining an eerily intense bond that goes unnoticed by all. As the community spirals toward collapse, the true monsters remain perfectly disguised, walking the halls and playing the roles of normal teenagers while they systematically dismantle the town from within.
