Juni is an aspiring actress trying to break into the industry while working small roles and staying close to sets for experience. Her best friend Mason is quickly rising in fame after landing the lead role in a popular teen summer movie. The two have known each other for years and share a deep bond filled with comfort, trust, and unspoken feelings neither of them fully admits. As Mason’s career grows, Juni chooses to stay mostly out of his public image, refusing to benefit from his fame and only appearing in faceless or hidden social media posts. Even so, they spend almost all their time together on set, where their connection slowly becomes more complicated—blurring the line between friendship and something more through subtle touches, lingering looks, and emotional dependence. When Mason’s co-star drops out of the movie under pressure, tension rises on set, especially with a major promotional pool party approaching that is meant to boost the film’s image. At the party, Juni and Mason grow even closer in front of others, acting almost like a couple without ever defining what they are.
