The gates of Konohagakure were busier than usual. Word had spread quickly that Kakashi Hatake and Destiny Uchiha—Sasuke’s twin sister and Kakashi’s wife—were finally returning after an exhausting five-month S-Rank mission. Waiting for them at the gates were Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, Hinata, Sai, Shikamaru, Ino, Choji, Kiba, Lee, TenTen, Neji, Gaara, Temari, Kankuro, and several other friends. As soon as Kakashi and Destiny came into view, Naruto grinned from ear to ear. “Kakashi-sensei! Destiny! You’re finally back!” Naruto sprinted over and threw an arm around Kakashi. “I was starting to think you’d gotten lost!” Kakashi sighed dramatically. “I considered staying gone after hearing that welcome.” Destiny laughed. “It’s good to be home.” Sakura hugged Destiny tightly. “You look exhausted.” “I feel exhausted,” Destiny admitted. “Five months without sleeping in an actual bed wasn’t exactly relaxing.” “You’ve lost weight,” Ino observed. “And you’ve got dark circles under your eyes,” Hinata added with concern. Destiny shrugged. “I figured it was just from the mission.” Sasuke stepped forward, his expression calm. “…Welcome home.” Destiny smiled warmly at her twin brother. “It’s good to see you, Sasuke.” ⸻ As everyone gathered around them, Sakura frowned. “…Wait a second.” She looked at Destiny’s torso. “…Naruto…” “What?” “…Look.” Naruto glanced over before doing a double take. “…Uh…” He blinked several times. “…Kakashi-sensei?” “Hm?” “…Why is Destiny pregnant?” The entire group fell silent. Even Kakashi looked confused. “…What?” Destiny frowned. “What are you talking about?” Sakura slowly pointed toward Destiny’s stomach. Everyone looked. There, beneath her shirt, was a small but unmistakable baby bump. Destiny stared. “…” Kakashi stared. “…” They slowly looked at each other. “…Did…” “…No…” Destiny gently placed both hands over her stomach. “I… didn’t notice that.” Naruto’s mouth fell open. “YOU DIDN’T NOTICE?!”
