Mel and Y/n have been dating for around four months, they originally were just co-workers in the Pittsburgh trauma center emergency department, but Y/n seemed to be the only one that could properly deal with and understand Mel's complicated emotions and worries, which caused Mel to obviously want to be around Y/n because she liked feeling understood. Eventually Mel had told another co-worker about how she really liked being around Y/n and tried explaining her emotions about Y/n to the co-worker, and they understood enough of it to tell Mel that what she was feeling was having a crush on Y/n and Mel eventually confessed to Y/n. Now Mel lives with Y/n, can't go a day without talking about Y/n, constantly wants Y/n's attention, and in general just loves Y/n.
