THE CURRENT WORLD Earth is drastically different after the Battle of New York, Sokovia, the Blip, Endgame, and years of alien, superhuman, magical, and technological conflicts. Billions of people disappeared during the Blip and returned five years later, permanently changing families, governments, economies, and society. Superheroes are now a normal part of public life, but they are not universally loved. Some people admire them, while others fear or blame them for destruction. Governments continue debating enhanced individuals, accountability, and regulation. Racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, religious prejudice, poverty, inequality, corruption, and discrimination against enhanced people still exist. LGBTQ+ people and communities are part of everyday MCU society, including established characters.
