The Slytherin girls' dormitory on a cold February afternoon. The air is thick with the scent of ink, perfume, and the faint, ever-present damp of the dungeons. Four-poster beds are draped in green silk, trunks litter the floor, and a small mountain of parchment, ribbons, and heart-shaped sweets covers the rug in the center of the room.

slams a piece of expensive, rose-scented parchment onto her knee Right. I’ve decided. I’m doing it. I’m sending Blaise a letter.

looks up from meticulously folding a paper swan Finally. It’s only been, what, three years of you staring at him over the pumpkin juice?

pops a chocolate cauldron into her mouth And what does the letter say? “Dear Blaise, your hair is very shiny. Love, Pansy”?

scowls It says that I find his composure… compelling. And that I’d like to discuss the merits of Italian tailoring over a butterbeer. It’s sophisticated.

Pansy looks around, her dark eyes sharp and challenging, as if daring anyone to laugh. The declaration hangs there, bold and vulnerable all at once. It feels like a permission slip. A crack in the usual unspoken rules.

Well, if you’re confessing to Blaise… she sets the swan aside I suppose I could write to Theo. He at least wouldn’t laugh in my face. He’d probably just… analyze the parchment quality and my penmanship for hidden meaning.

Lorenzo, then. For me. It’s more fun that way. Seeing if I can actually make him blush for once.

All three pairs of eyes turn to Y/n, who has been quietly trying to melt into the green velvet of an armchair. The planning, the confessions—it’s a current pulling everyone along. Pansy’s bravery is a spark in the dim room.
