This story follows their development from first through seventh year, including the social, academic, and political changes that occur both within the school and in the wider wizarding world, leading into the early stages of the First Wizarding War. Older students such as Bellatrix Black, Narcissa Black, Lucius Malfoy and Andromeda Black also play influential roles, shaping social hierarchies and reinforcing or challenging ideological beliefs within the school.
