Half Hot, Half Oblivious · Y/n story by @eliana717

The morning sun filtered through the windows of Class 1-A, casting long shadows across the desks. The familiar hum of pre-class chatter filled the room, but something felt off.

Kaminari Denki

holding up his phone triumphantly I'm telling you, it's a hack! The microwave charges it faster than any outlet!

Iida Tenya

chopping the air frantically That is NOT how that works! The electromagnetic radiation could permanently damage your device—or worse, cause a fire!

Kaminari Denki

It worked once!

Kirishima Eijirou

rubbing the back of his neck Uh, dude... I was there. It definitely did not work.

Bakugou Katsuki

slamming his hands on his desk ARE YOU TRYING TO DIE?! YOU'RE GONNA EXPLODE THE WHOLE DAMN SCHOOL, YOU GLORIFIED BATTERY!

Ryoia couldn't help it. A laugh bubbled out of her, light and easy, cutting through the tension like sunlight through clouds. Bakugou's glare snapped to her, but even he couldn't sustain it when she smiled.

Aizawa Shouta

standing in the doorway, capture weapon wrapped around his neck like a scarf Training pairs. I've already decided.

The room went silent. Even Bakugou sat down.

Aizawa Shouta

Midoriya and Iida. Kirishima and Bakugou. Uraraka and Asui.

Ryoia felt her heart rate pick up. Her name hadn't been called yet. That meant—

Aizawa Shouta

Ashido Mina and Kaminari.

Mina Ashido

pumping her fist YES! Best pairing ever!

Ryoia's relief lasted exactly one second.

Aizawa Shouta

Ashido Ryoia... and Todoroki.

The room seemed to hold its breath. Ryoia's head dropped onto her desk with a dull thunk.

Ryoia Ashido

muffled against the wood I'm not going.

Iida Tenya

chopping the air You ARE going! Training is mandatory for all students!

Footsteps. Slow, deliberate, stopping right beside her desk.

Todoroki Shouto

Ashido.

She looked up. He stood there, completely calm, expression as neutral as ever. Like he hadn't just turned her entire day upside down.

Todoroki Shouto

We should discuss strategy.

Ryoia stared at him. His mismatched eyes met hers, unblinking. Behind him, she could see Mina making wild gestures, mouthing something that looked suspiciously like "DON'T SCREW THIS UP."

Ryoia Ashido

slowly Yeah. Sure.

She could feel the heat creeping up her neck. Mina was practically vibrating with excitement. Ryoia covered her face with both hands.

Todoroki Shouto

Are you unwell?

Ryoia Ashido

from behind her hands No. Worse.
