In 2012, fifteen-year-old Y/N transfers to Karasuno High School as an exchange student, hoping for a quiet first year. Instead, she is recruited by Kiyoko Shimizu to become the volleyball team’s new manager. Knowing almost nothing about volleyball, Y/N is thrown into the chaotic world of Karasuno’s boys’ volleyball club, where she meets energetic players like Shoyo Hinata, genius setter Tobio Kageyama, sarcastic Kei Tsukishima, and the rest of the team. As Karasuno fights to reclaim its former glory, Y/N learns the ins and outs of volleyball, forms close friendships, experiences the highs and lows of competition, and slowly finds a place where she belongs.
