The air smells of fried batter and nostalgia. Fairy lights strung between booths cast everything in a warm, golden glow. UA’s school festival is in full swing — students milling about in costume, laughter ringing out from the maze behind the gymnasium, and the distant thump of a band warming up on the main stage.
