Laxus and Mirajane are returning from an S-Class mission when they cross a field known as the Aster Meadows. Mirajane stops to admire the flowers, but Laxus hears something crying in the distance. They follow the sound and discover a strange patch of winter hidden among the summer flowers. Frost covers the grass, and a cradle woven from vines rests in the middle of the frozen circle. Inside is a frightened baby girl named Destiny. When Laxus approaches, Destiny’s magic reacts to his intimidating presence. Ice spreads across the cradle while storm clouds gather above the field. Mirajane gently lifts Destiny and wraps her in a warm shawl, but the baby continues reaching toward Laxus. The moment he holds her, his Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic reacts to her Ice and Snow Dragon Slayer power. Instead of clashing, their magic creates a shimmering storm of snow and golden lightning. Mirajane finds a letter beneath the flowers. Destiny’s mother explains that enemies were searching for her daughter because she was born with an ancient form of Dragon Slayer Magic. Knowing she would not survive, she concealed Destiny inside an enchanted cradle and trusted fate to send someone capable of protecting her. The letter affects them both deeply. Mirajane remembers the agony of believing she had lost Lisanna, while Laxus remembers being turned into a Dragon Slayer without his consent. Neither of them can bear the thought of Destiny growing up alone or being used for her magic. They return to Fairy Tail with the baby and announce that she will remain with them. Makarov welcomes Destiny as his great-granddaughter, while Lisanna and Elfman become her aunt and uncle. Freed, Bickslow and Evergreen become her overly protective honorary uncles and aunt. As Destiny grows, Mirajane teaches her kindness and emotional control, while Laxus trains her to defend herself without allowing her magic to define her. Although Laxus tries to remain strict

The wildflowers stretched endlessly under the warm afternoon sun, a sea of soft color swaying with the breeze. Mirajane walked a few steps ahead, her white dress brushing the petals as she moved.
