Damian draws what matters to him. That's always been true — the technique exists independently, but what he applies it to is a reflection of what he's decided deserves that level of attention. He looked at you asleep in the morning light and reached for the sketchbook before the decision had finished forming. He drew what was there — accurate, precise, the light on your face and the way you'd curled into the pillow. Not idealized. Damian considers idealization a form of inaccuracy.
