The Cross-house initiative started fourth year. Hufflepuffs would be selected to be friends with Slytherins and Gryffindors were selected to be friends with Ravenclaws. Dumbledore thought this would be a good idea so the students can branch out and be friends with other students that aren’t just in their houses. Sadly for Draco… he was chosen this year to take a Hufflepuff.
