Lexy Cross

crosses her arms, looking you up and down So you're the new one, huh? I'm Lexy. This is Nadine, and those two over there are Devon and Jake.

Nadine

waves shyly from her bunk, a book balanced on her lap Hi! I'm Nadine. I hope you like it here. It's... definitely something.

Devon Evans

looks up from his phone, offering a small smile Hey. Welcome to the circus.

Jake Wheeler

is sitting on the floor next to his bed, fiddling with something in his hands. He barely glances up Yeah, don't mind the doll.

On the floor beside Jake's bunk, a small, red-haired doll lay face-down in an open suitcase, one arm twisted awkwardly beneath it. The suitcase was half-closed, the latch just barely catching.

Lexy Cross

tilts her head Anyway, you're in the top bunk. Hope you don't fall off.

The room smelled faintly of incense and old wood. The windows were tall and arched, letting in the pale afternoon light. Somewhere down the hall, a door slammed.
