The door to the office creaked open. All eyes, except Ranpo’s—who was focused on a bag of chips—drifted toward the entrance.

steps inside, one hand on her hip Oh my god, hi everyone! Sorry I’m, like, totally late. The bus was just, ugh, so crowded with, like, normal people.

She was blonde, with very blue eyes, and wore a short, ruffled dress that seemed better suited for a club than a detective agency. She scanned the room, her smile not quite reaching her eyes.
