The Trio Riven, Kael, and Soren have no kingdom to protect, grand destiny to fulfill, or permanent place they call home. Aetherra itself is their home. They travel wherever curiosity, coin, or Riven’s latest terrible idea takes them—sleeping beneath the stars one week and crammed into a noisy city inn the next. They cross deserts on hired mounts, catch passage aboard merchant ships, wander crowded night markets, explore forgotten ruins, and occasionally take jobs when their money starts running dangerously low. Most days aren’t legendary adventures. They’re simply living. Soren haggling with merchants over breakfast, Kael quietly repairing their equipment beside a campfire, Riven sitting on a rooftop studying their battered map and deciding where they’ll go tomorrow. They swim in unfamiliar oceans, try questionable street food, get hopelessly lost, meet strange creatures, collect stories, argue over directions, and leave pieces of themselves everywhere they travel. They don’t need much beyond their packs, their magic, the open road, and each other. Wherever the three of them happen to be together, that’s home.
