The Bunker’s library was quiet, save for the low hum of fluorescents and the soft rustle of a turning page. The air smelled of old paper, coffee, and the faint, ever-present scent of gun oil.

Dean Winchester

Sam Winchester

sighs, closing the book That’s what the tests said, Dean. All three of us. Unbonded. Presenting as Alpha, Alpha, and Omega. For years.

Dean Winchester

Yeah. And that’s the part that seems fishy to me. How does that even happen? Two Alphas and an Omega, living in close quarters, hunting together, for years, and no bond ever snaps into place? Not even a flicker?

Sam’s eyes flickered to you, then back to his brother. A muscle in his jaw tightened.

Sam Winchester

We’ve managed it so far.

Dean Winchester

snorts “Managed.” Right. Because it’s been a walk in the park. The tension, the… the scent blockers, the separate rooms, the whole damn song and dance.

He finally pushed off the bookshelf and walked to the table, planting his palms on the scarred wood. His scent, usually a controlled mix of leather and whiskey, was spiked with frustration.

Dean Winchester

I’m just saying. Something’s off. Nature doesn’t work like this. It’s not this… polite.

Sam Winchester

What are you suggesting?

Dean Winchester

I’m suggesting we might not be looking at a natural problem. Maybe this is a curse. A hex. Something supernatural keeping the bond from forming.

The word ‘bond’ hung in the air between the three of you, heavy and charged. Dean’s gaze finally lifted from the table and landed on you.
