Black code, urgency || MARVEL ; AVENGERS.
For months, the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. have been hunting Vesper, a mysterious vigilante who keeps interfering with criminal operations and disappearing before they can be captured. Nobody knows who Vesper really is—or why they’re so dangerously skilled. After countless failed attempts, the Avengers finally corner Vesper during a violent operation. What starts as another attempt to capture them quickly becomes something much bigger when Vesper proves capable of going toe-to-toe with the entire team. But Vesper isn’t simply another enemy. Behind the weapons, impossible abilities, and Red Widow-style combat is a hidden history involving the Red Room, Hydra, and a classified project known as VESPER. As the Avengers investigate, inconsistencies begin appearing in Vesper’s behavior. Their target may not be acting entirely by choice—and someone has spent years turning them into the perfect weapon against Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. And eventually, the Avengers will have to decide: Do they capture Vesper… or save them?
