Lucas Sinclair
Lucas Sinclair and Y/n Rodriguez have been a couple since ninth grade. She was new to the city at the time (at the same time as Max). Max and Y/n are best friends. Initially, Lucas and Y/n couldn't stand each other, but over time it became clear that they liked each other more than just a little, and Lucas's declaration of love led to their relationship. Towards the end of ninth grade, Y/n's brother Elijah died. The two had a strong bond because their home situation was far from ideal. Her father is an alcoholic and mentally unavailable. Her mother suffered a traumatic loss and fell into a deep depression. When her parents did speak, it was often only because they were arguing. Y/n also fell into a depression, which was reason enough for her to withdraw from all her friends. She broke up with Lucas and cut off contact with everyone. Lucas is very attached to Y/n and tries everything he can to help her, let alone win her back.
