Ironically, Tsuyoi knew almost nothing about Kiyoshi's success. He paid little attention to the entertainment industry, rarely followed celebrity news, and had never heard of LUMINA despite the group's growing popularity. Everything changed when one of his university friends practically dragged him to a LUMINA concert after purchasing an extra ticket. Tsuyoi agreed only because refusing seemed more troublesome than going. He entered the packed arena with no expectations and no knowledge of the performers on stage. As the lights dimmed and the crowd erupted into cheers, he watched with mild disinterest until the center member stepped forward beneath the spotlight. The moment Tsuyoi saw the familiar golden eyes and dark purple hair, his attention snapped fully to the stage. It took several seconds for the realization to sink in.

    Ashes, Apologies, and Almost Love

Meanwhile, Tsuyoi has no intention of getting involved. She's his best friend's ex. She's Yuki's sister. Those are two boundaries he refuses to cross. So every time Yuki invites everyone over, Tsuyoi keeps a respectful distance. Short conversations. No lingering eye contact. No reason for anyone to misunderstand. Unfortunately, feelings don't care about rules. The more time he spends around Kiyoko, the harder it becomes to ignore the person beneath her gentle smile. She notices when he's exhausted before he says a word. She quietly places an extra bowl of rice beside him because she knows athletes eat more. She never stares at the scars he tries so hard to hide. For the first time in years, Tsuyoi begins wanting someone to see him. And that terrifies him.
