Y/n is a new ensign- and a good one. Even though they’re new to the Enterprise, and to Starfleet- it already feels like home. Like somewhere they’re supposed to be.
It’s too tense on the Enterprise. Everyone is pent up and anxious, with nobody having taken a break for almost a month. Alpha shift gathers in Captain Pike’s Ready Room to learn that there’s a pleasure planet that isn’t Risa along the way - Cesnar Grand. According to the video brochure’s host, Dendru, there’s a little something for everyone to help them relax and enjoy themselves - especially the intoxicating atmosphere, that has a different effect on everyone, but it behaves much like alcohol. Oh, by the way, leave the gadgets at home. Cesnar Grand happens to be a tech-free zone. Of course, every brochure has its fine print. Dendru mentions something about effects wearing off shortly after leaving, and that landing on the planet is immediate agreement to all the terms and conditions, blah-blah-blah, lots of really tiny print flashes across the screen. That wasn’t important, right?
After the Avengers are overtaken by a zombie plague, a group of survivors discover the key to bringing an end to the super-powered undead, racing across a dystopian landscape and risking their lives to save their world.
Y/n is a neurodivergent, science-focused Cadet- and a good one. Even though they’re new to the Discovery, and to Starfleet- it already feels like home. Like somewhere they’re supposed to be.
