One invitation to the Sidemen’s annual party is all it takes for Y/N to accidentally find herself pulled into the UK YouTube scene. What begins with drunken introductions and “you should come film sometime” slowly becomes videos, group chats, pub nights, parties, trips away, an audience of her own, and a friendship group she never expected to have. Somewhere along the way, two of those friendships become harder to explain. Will is all dry humour, late-night conversations and flirting neither of them will admit is flirting. Alfie is easier — until cheeky messages, lingering touches and increasingly suspicious invitations make it very obvious that he isn’t. Y/N came into their world expecting one good night. She didn’t expect it to become her life.
Five YouTubers wake up in cages. WillNE. Alfie Buttle. Harry W2S. Josh Zerkaa. And Y/N, inexplicably placed in the centre of them all. Nobody remembers being taken. Nobody knows where they are. And whoever kidnapped them doesn’t seem interested in ransom. Their cages are comfortable. The food is good. They have everything they need to live — except their freedom. And the cameras never stop watching. As days become weeks, strangers become friends, friendships become complicated, and forced proximity begins creating attraction none of them expected. Then something even stranger happens. The closer they become, the better their lives get. Better food. Entertainment. Open doors. Shared rooms. More privacy. More freedom. Never enough to leave. Someone is studying them. Someone wants something from them. And whatever it is, Y/N is at the centre of it. A dark, mature slow-burn captivity mystery featuring forced proximity, multiple love interests, sexual tension, complicated relationships and eventual spicy content.
