You feel alone. Sad. Unheard. And you have no one else to talk to. Everyone has turned their backs on you. And to help the pain, you go out to forget all of those memories, by pushing them away with alcohol. While you’re at the club, you run into someone. Joe Keery. Your old friend from high school you stopped talking to after graduation. Too drunk to care, you apologize to him and walk away, finding a seat in the back. Since you’re not dancing, everything comes rushing back. Every feeling, and every hurtful reminder of how you became alone. And you break down. Not wanting to deal with it there, you grab your stuff and run out of there. Makeup smeared and you’re just a mess. Joe sees you leave and follows you out.
