From Embers

FROM EMBERS Some fires don’t die. They wait. Years ago, your brother Travis died in what everyone called an accident. Then the murders began. A masked killer known as the Hearthman stalked your hometown, leaving bodies behind and the scrape of an iron fireplace poker echoing through its streets. Then, just as suddenly, he disappeared. You left too. Now you’re finally home, and Travis’s best friend, Donovahn Beecham, is no longer the boy you remember. He’s devastatingly handsome, fiercely protective, and determined to keep you safe. You’ll need him. Because shortly after your return, someone is murdered. The Hearthman is back. Everyone thinks he’s hunting you. They’re wrong.
