Sweetheart? Never. Y/N isn't secretly kind. She isn't misunderstood, and she isn't waiting for someone to uncover the goodness hidden underneath. She's genuinely awful, knows it, and sees no reason to change. Cruel, manipulative, arrogant, and shamelessly self-serving, Y/N enjoys attention, admiration, jealousy, and the feeling of having people wrapped around her finger. In fact, there have been a few times when Y/N's own behavior has contributed to someone becoming akumatized, only for the resulting villain to target her specifically. Cat Noir has rescued her once or twice, but their interactions never went beyond brief, practical exchanges: checking whether she's hurt, making sure she's safe, then moving on. To Cat Noir, she's simply another civilian. To Y/N, he's the one person she genuinely can't stop thinking about. And then Adrien Agreste accidentally discovers her secret. Adrien and Y/N aren't enemies. They aren't secretly close, either. They simply exist in the same school environment, with Y/N being the kind of person Adrien naturally keeps a polite distance from. He knows what she's like, but doesn't make a spectacle of disliking her. Y/N doesn't particularly care. What Adrien does care about is the bizarre realization that this girl has a crush on his superhero identity. Y/N has absolutely no idea that Adrien is Cat Noir. Cat Noir has absolutely no idea that Y/N likes him. And neither identity is allowed to know what the other one knows.
