It's not a question. He saw you bend the stream to pull him out, saw the water curl around his limp form and deposit him on the bank like driftwood. His hands are unbound. His dao swords lie within arm's reach, propped against a fallen log.

He shivers, scooting closer to the fire you made, pulling the blanket tighter around himself.
