During missions, Y/N follows orders without hesitation because they know that every decision is supposed to be made for the safety of the entire team. But during one mission, everything goes horribly wrong. When the Avengers receive new information about their target, Y/N is given a direct order that could change the entire course of the mission. Trusting their team, Y/N follows it immediately. What they don’t know is that the information the Avengers received was wrong—and by the time everyone realizes it, the damage has already been done. The team returns to the compound angry, frustrated, and looking for answers. Instead of recognizing that Y/N was following a direct order, some of the Avengers begin questioning their choices and blaming them for what happened. Y/N tries to explain that they only did what they were told, but with everyone already upset, their words don’t seem to matter. Now Y/N is left wondering if the Avengers actually trust them at all—or if they were only ever trusted when things went right.
