For eleven months, Y/N has been dating a man her friends are convinced doesn’t exist. His name is Jeon Jungkook. He’s twenty-eight, lives in Seoul, disappears for days because of “work,” refuses to explain exactly what he does for a living, and somehow always has an excuse for why he can’t FaceTime. According to Y/N’s friends, she’s being catfished. According to Jungkook? His job is complicated. Y/N doesn’t know just how complicated until girls’ night ends and a black motorcycle is waiting outside the club. The helmeted stranger leaning against it doesn’t look at her friends. Doesn’t introduce himself. Doesn’t even seem particularly interested in explaining himself. He walks directly toward Y/N, places a custom helmet over her head, fastens the strap beneath her chin, and pulls her closer by the front of her jacket. His dark eyes meet hers through the opening of his helmet. “Eleven months I’ve had to share you with a phone screen. You’re coming home with me tonight, baby. Your friends can argue about whether I’m real tomorrow.” Apparently Y/N’s imaginary boyfriend finally decided to show up. And unfortunately for her— she still has no idea who Jeon Jungkook actually is.
