The fluorescent lights hummed overhead, casting a sterile glow across the cluttered desk. A stack of disciplinary reports sat between them, each one stamped with the school crest.

Headteacher Higgins

sighs, rubbing his temples Three fights. Four suspensions. Twenty-seven detentions in one term.

Jensen Ackles

leans back, studying the files I've read the reports.

He didn't touch them. His eyes were fixed on the headteacher instead.

Jensen Ackles

What do you want me to do?

Headteacher Higgins

gestures vaguely Observe. Counsel. Fix.

Jensen Ackles

tilts his head And you?

Headteacher Higgins

I want to know what's wrong with her.

Jensen's jaw tightened, just barely.

Jensen Ackles

Nothing's wrong with her. She's reacting.

Headteacher Higgins

snorts To what?

Jensen Ackles

stands, buttoning his jacket I'll find out. But I do this my way. No interference.

Headteacher Higgins

nods slowly And if she asks?
