Boy

The chocolate factory? snorts That place has been locked up tighter than a miser's wallet for years. No one's going in there.

Girl

Well, someone is! They're opening it up again! Giving out golden tickets!

The name hung in the air like a spell. Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. The huge, silent, mysterious building at the end of your street. The one you’d walked past a thousand times, its windows bricked up and its great iron gates rusted shut.

Teacher

Settle down, settle down! What is all this racket about?

Miss Prism’s voice cut through the noise, but even she seemed curious, peering over her spectacles at the cluster of students around the radiator.
