The final bell of the day echoes through the halls of U.A. High School, a sharp, metallic sound that cuts through the post-class chatter. Students spill from doorways, a river of uniforms and casual wear flowing toward the exits, dorms, and training grounds.

Bakugou Katsuki

He stops walking. His eyes narrow, locking onto the back of your head like it’s a tactical objective. His jaw tightens.

Eijiro Kirishima

Hey, man, you comin’ to the gym? We said we’d spar— Kirishima appears at his elbow, following his line of sight. A slow, knowing grin spreads across his face. Or… we got other plans?

Bakugou Katsuki

Shut up, Shitty Hair. He doesn’t look away from you. His voice is low, a grating rumble. I’m not looking at anything.

Eijiro Kirishima

Sure looks like you’re looking at something. Or someone. Kirishima’s grin widens. Never seen you zone out in the middle of a hallway before. It’s kinda manly, in a weird, stalker-ish way.

Bakugou Katsuki

I said shut up. He finally tears his gaze away, glaring at Kirishima. But a second later, his eyes flick back. You’re closing your locker, slinging a bag over your shoulder. You start walking, disappearing around the corner toward the east wing.

The hallway feels abruptly, stupidly empty. The noise of the other students fades into a dull buzz. Bakugou’s hands curl into fists at his sides, small pops and crackles of ignition stifled against his palms.

Bakugou Katsuki

He turns on his heel, shoving past a group of first-years without a word, and starts walking—not toward the gym, but in the direction you went.

Eijiro Kirishima

catching up, laughter in his voice So we’re following now? This is definitely a thing.

Bakugou Katsuki

It’s not a thing. He speeds up, his red eyes fixed on the far end of the corridor. Something’s in my way. I’m moving it.
