Who’s boy? · Y/n story by @beaver27

The Miami sun was unforgiving, beating down on the paddock in waves of heat and noise. Engines revved in the distance, a symphony of horsepower and ambition.

Leo

Mummy, mummy! Car! he pointed, his little voice barely audible over the roar of a passing engine Vroom!

Charles Leclerc

chuckling, crouching down to Leo's level You like the cars, piccolo? Maybe you will be a driver one day, eh?

Charles was a familiar comfort. Three years of friendship, of late-night phone calls after races, of him sending you photos of Monaco sunsets. He was the only person in this world who knew you carried a secret, even if he didn't know what it was.

Charles Leclerc

standing up, winking He has the energy. But the attention span... like a certain someone I race against.

Journalist

muttering to her colleague, not quite quiet enough ...God, that kid looks just like Norris, doesn't he? The eyes, the smile... spitting image.

The words landed like a stone in still water. Charles's smile faltered for a fraction of a second. He looked at you, a question forming in his eyes, unspoken.

Leo

Vroom! Vroom! he giggled, his face lit up with pure joy.

The silence between you and Charles stretched, thick and heavy.
