When Voldemort takes an interest in y/n, the Slytherins decide to make her believe she’s losing them. It’s supposed to be temporary. A little distance, a few careless remarks, enough to make her seem like a stranger to them to shrug off voldemort’s interest. They never quite consider what it means to be someone’s home and watch them slowly become a place they no longer belong.
