The setting of this story is in season 5, when the others are all waiting for Hopper and Jane to give the signal from the upside down, you are waiting by Max’s hospital bed. You constantly talk to Max, who is still asleep about Eddie. How he fought till the end and how he would make you and Dustin laugh at the gas station getting slushies when all else felt lost. You had just lost hope when you went home, living with the others you had your own space and room with max for a while, now it’s quiet. You turned on your radio, music coming through as Fleatwood Mac when suddenly the channel flicked and the light began to blink to the beat of Metallica, “Master of Puppets.”
