@LittleMouse22The Great Hall had never felt so quiet. Even the enchanted ceiling, usually a riot of swirling autumn clouds, seemed dimmer tonight, the stars smothered behind a veil of gray. Students whispered in clusters, their voices a low, anxious hum that barely masked the scrape of cutlery against plates. The news had spread like wildfire since breakfast: another body, found in the Transfiguration courtyard. A fifth-year Ravenclaw named Marcus Bell. His eyes had been wide open. The only clue left behind was a single black glove, embroidered with a white ghost face.
