You were gone for one week. Just one. And somehow, in that time, no one thought to tell the student body president that a new kid arrived. You walked into class and immediately froze. A boy with bright blue eyes and soft blonde curls sat in your seat—the perfect spot you and Urenna claimed ages ago. You shot Urenna a look. She only shook her head like, Don’t ask me, I’m clueless. So you walked straight to him. “That’s my seat,” you said as you sat beside him, refusing to move. He looked around, confused and—annoyingly—beautiful. You sighed. “It’s mine and my best friend’s. She’s not here today, so, you can sit here, I guess.” You pulled out your books. He didn’t have any, so you pushed yours to the middle so he could see the notes. “I’m Camila,” you said. He smiled. “Walker Scobell.” His handshake was warm and a little too charming for someone who stole your seat. Later, with Urenna “So what do we know about the new boy?” you asked. Urenna practically exploded. “He’s an ACTOR! Remember the Percy Jackson book I was reading? He’s playing Percy!” You blinked. “Seriously?” She smacked your arm. “I sent you edits of him! But you never watch anything I send you.” Before you could defend yourself, you noticed walker looking at you from across the room—quickly glancing away when you caught him. After school, on your way to the bus stop, someone ran up behind you. “Camila!” You turned. Walker slowed to a stop in front of you. "Hey, thanks for sharing your books with me."
