The common room at U.A. High was quiet for a change. Late afternoon sun slanted through the tall windows, catching dust motes in the air and painting the couches in warm, lazy stripes. Most of Class 1-A was either at extra training, in the library, or holed up in their rooms. The only sound was the low hum of the air conditioning and the distant, rhythmic thump-thump-thump of someone’s music through a floor.
