The sea was calm tonight, a rare gift in the New World. The Thousand Sunny cut through the water like a promise, moonbeams scattering across the waves like spilled treasure. Lantern light flickered across the deck, where the sounds of the crew's laughter had long since faded into the quiet hum of night.

Usopp

You're out late, Star.

He didn't turn his head as he spoke. Just kept his gaze fixed somewhere beyond the mast, a lazy smile pulling at his lips.

Usopp

Or early, depending on how you count it. Either way, you're right on time.

The ship swayed gently. Somewhere below deck, Sanji's mumbled sleep-talk drifted up through the portholes. A bird called out behind the clouds. And Usopp patted the space beside him — the empty spot on the deck that somehow always had his jacket laid flat like a seat reserved just for you.
